Romania ”Doina Aidului”
In the middle of Romania, in the south of Transylvania, is the small town of Aiud.
It is located at the site of the Transylvanian highlands, the Apuseni mountains and the Tarnave plateau, in the immediate vicinity of the Mureş river, We will find one of the oldest strongholds of fortified Romania and holds tens of thousands of historical library volumes.
Aiud is also the birthplace of Doin Aiudului. The history of the group dates back to the seventies, but under its current name it has been in operation for 20 years. During this time the artists have presented their skills and won prizes at many international festivals. This year they will have the opportunity to appear before the audience on Rówień Krupowa and share with them what they consider their most valuable legacy. Instruments, singers and dancers will bring viewers closer to the folklore of their home region: the Tarnave and Mureş valleys and the Apuseni mountains. On the stage you will be able to see the variety of spectacular performances associated with the pastoral traditions of the Haidăul dance typical of the area.
