Kazakhstan ”Samruk Daur”

Ranked in the top ten largest countries in the world and at the same time one of the lowest population ratios (less than 10 people per km2). Beautiful nature: steppe wilderness forest, mountain peaks and lakes. Dynamically developing country at the crossroads of Asia and Europe. These three sentences lead us towards Kazakhstan, the country where the Samruk dance group (founded in 2006) and the DAUR (founded in 2009) come from. Kazakhstan’s performance will be a great opportunity to get to know a small fragment of this varied folklore. Culturally, gaining increasing popularity among Polish tourists of the country. The artists come from the Aktobe region (White mountain) in the west of the country. Their closest surroundings: the Burabaj National Park, sometimes referred to as the pearl, oasis and paradise for skiers. The surrounding hills are not among the highest in Kazakhstan (Kyzyl 657 metres a.s.l.), but in the company of many lakes they are exceptionally picturesque. Guests of the festival will be able to listen to the melodies on the (домбыра, dombra), the Kazakh national instrument. The dombra is a wooden, two-piece instrument resembling a lute. Its sounds accompany all family celebrations and holidays. The artists will also showcase the kharazorga-inspired dance movement, considered to be a national Kazah dance and currently enjoying great popularity throughout the world.
