Imrich Szabó - wybitny słowacki organista i pedagog, urodzony w 1956 r w Nowych Zamkach. Pierwsze muzyczne wykształcenie otrzymał w Budapeszcie, potem studiował w Bratysławie organy u wybitnych profesorów Ferdynanda Klindy i Ivana Sokola. Jest laureatem konkursów organowych w Pradze i Budapeszcie. Trasy koncertowe prowadzą go przez najważniejsze festiwale (Francja, Niemcy, Szwajcaria, Wielka Brytania, Szwecja, Węgry, Austria, Bułgaria, Rumunia, Litwa, Łotwa, Armenia i Gruzja). Zrealizował wiele nagrań radiowych i telewizyjnych, wydaje płyty CD w wytwórniach Opus, Diskant, Pacific Music, Panton, Intercord oraz dla Słowackiego i Czeskiego Radia. Działa jako redaktor audycji organowych organizowanych przez Słowackie Radio oraz doradca przy rekonstrukcjach zabytkowych organów. Jako pedagog działa w Akademii Muzycznej i Konserwatorium w Bratysławie.

Imrich Szabó - an outstanding Slovak organist and teacher, born in 1956, in Nové Zámky, Slovakia. He received first musical education in Budapest. Then, he studied the organ in Bratislava under the eye of distinguished professors - Ferdinand Klinda and Ivan Sokol. He is the winner of organ competitions in Prague and Budapest. His concert tours lead him to the most important festivals (France, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Sweden, Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Armenia and Georgia). He has made many recordings for radio and television. He has released records with record labels such as Opus, Diskant, Pacific Music, Panton, Intercord and for the Slovak and Czech Radio. He works as an editor for organ radio programmes broadcast by the Slovak Radio and an advisor in reconstructions of historic organs. He is a teacher at the Academy of Music and Conservatory in Bratislava.
